PDi is pleased to announce that its graduate training scheme, PDinspire, has recently been accredited by the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology (IMarEST) by meeting the initial professional development requirements, in full, for registration of Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and Engineering Technician (EngTech). The Institute’s Professional Affairs and Education Committee panel was particularly impressed with PDi’s commitment to development of engineers and the opportunities given to them throughout the scheme. The panel also complimented PDi on its attitude towards the development of in house training modules.
In 2010 PDi made a commitment to develop their own talent and since then nine graduates have completed the two year training scheme with a further five graduates currently being trained across a number of disciplines including Structural Engineering, Pipeline Design & Analysis and Project Engineering.
Mark Brown, PDi’s Engineering Manager said “The graduate training scheme has proven to be a very successful investment for PDi and we are delighted to have achieved accreditation from IMarEST. The programme consists of on the job training supplemented by both internal and external training modules. We are extremely proud of the graduates who have passed through our scheme and the high quality contribution they make to the company. We hope to continue to develop talent in this way, both for the growth of PDi and the sustainability of industry resource pool as a whole”.
