PDi were engaged by ConocoPhillips to support the planning and execution of decommissioning the MacCulloch FPSO and associated subsea infrastructure prior to installation contractor involvement.
Support was required to identify and assess the potential disconnection and removal options for the FPSO, moorings and subsea infrastructure. PDi developed the necessary engineering studies and decommissioning methodologies which were subject to Peer and Operational reviews before being developed into detailed offshore procedures.
These procedures were then transferred to the nominated installation contractor to be adopted, risk assessed and finalised. At this point the PDi project team assumed management of the installation contractor both on and offshore on behalf of ConocoPhillips.
